Single Player Mode
Well, COVID-19 has gotten much worse in my area, so I abandoned local multiplayer since I wouldn't be able to get anyone over to test it until this whole thing blows over. Instead, I've been working on a whole new single-player "adventure" mode. Of course, by the time I have anything worth showing, everyone will be vaccinated and ready to play multiplayer games, so maybe I should have stuck with that.
On a more general note, I think I'm getting a lot better at coding. I'm not nearly as often getting into the cycle of "add new feature that breaks another features - create a bunch of new bugs trying to fix that bug".
Also, Unity has been making it a priority to make their tools work better instead of just adding more broken features, and it really shows. I haven't spent any time dealing with Unity bugs in months. The only problem I have is that it's been crashing now and then, which it didn't do before, but then I just have to restart Unity and everything's fine. Much better than spending days in the forums. The crashes might also be because I switched to JetBrains Rider for my IDE, which I'm really enjoying and highly recommend.
